Since 1993 he has been Aliança Vinhos de Portugal winemaker and is responsible for wines from the Vinho Verde, Douro, Beira Interior, Dão and Bairrada regions, as well as sparkling wines and brandies. In his long career, he developed several research works and was awarded the prize for Best Winemaker, in 2006, by Essência do Vinho. Francisco Antunes has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Évora, and a degree in Enology at Bordeaux Institute of Enology.
