Located in the Douro, Quinta dos Quatro Ventos looks like a huge Japanese sand garden, with a symbolic dovecote lost in the immensity. The property has an approximate area of 150 hectares. It is part of a deep valley crossed by Ribeira da Teja. Its soils are schist, with some granite outcrops that add complexity, freshness and elegance to the wines. The 45 hectares of vineyards are located at altitudes that vary between 200 and 250 meters, in an area of low rainfall and large temperature ranges, and are planted with the typical varieties of the region: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca , Tinta Amarela, Alicante Bouschet and Vinhão.
