His wine career began in 1996 and since then he has worked in different regions of the country such as Ribatejo, Dão, Lisbon and Alentejo. From this already long career, the fifteen harvests in the region of Portalegre stand out, which made his passion for Alentejo wines grow. In 2021, he assumes the position of Director of Enology for the Alentejo region of Grupo Bacalhôa. Rui Vieira completed his academic studies at the Escola Superior Agrária de Santarém, where he first obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Agro-Food Industry Technology - Wine Technology. and later a Degree in Food Engineering.
