Straw yellow color, with greenish tinges, aromas complexes revealing fruity characters with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and apricot, floral characters such as linden and honey, in a mouth elegant and of great depth in a strong structure and body. It is a deep, sophisticated and complex wine.
From the vineyards located at Quinta da Bacalhôa, we selected the Sémillon, Alvarinho, and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties at their ideal ripening point to produce the Quinta da Bacalhôa White. Each variety was vinified separately, respecting their optimal maturation for the intended style. Beginning with fermentation in stainless steel tanks, 10% of the must, only from the Sémillon variety, fermented in new French oak barrels followed by six months of aging with “batonnage.” After the final blend was made in March, the wine was bottled.
