Joined the Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal winemaker's team in 1981 and since 1993 has taken over the direction of wines from the Península de Setúbal. Great wines pass through her hands, including famous DO Setúbal, often awarded the most important global awards. Received the award for Enologist Generous Wines of the Year 2013 by Revista de Vinhos. Filipa Tomaz da Costa is an Agricultural Engineer from the Instituto Superior de Agronomia and a postgraduate degree from the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia do Porto (Portuguese Catholic University) in collaboration with the University of Charles Sturt (Australia).
