Winemaker - Quinta do Carmo
His journey in the world of wine began in 1998 at Quinta da Terrugem, where he was responsible for Viticulture and Oenology until 2007. From 2008 to 2024, he held the position of Director of Viticulture for the Bacalhôa Group in Alentejo, and now also embraces the Oenology of Quinta do Carmo, in Estremoz, where the grapes from all the group’s estates in the region are vinified. Graduated in Agricultural Engineering - Scientific and Technological Branch from the University of Évora, João Chamorro brings with him 28 harvests of experience, ensuring the continuity, quality, consistency, and sustainability that distinguish the Quinta do Carmo brand.
