The much-anticipated launch of the sparkling wine – Aliança Grande Reserva Pinot Noir Brut Nature 2018 – marks Aliança’s commitment to producing sparkling wines of the highest quality and distinction.
Located in the Bairrada region, known for the special soil and climate conditions to produce excellent bases of 'blanc de noirs' sparkling wine, the maximum advantage was taken of the unique characteristics of the Pinot Noir variety to create a sparkling wine that embodies elegance and complexity.
It was decided 4 years ago to start producing a Pinot Noir monovarietal sparkling wine, with the expectation of moving up another step in the Grande Reserva category. The careful monitoring of the vineyard, the selection of the best grapes and the pre-bottling stage of 5 months followed by another 43 months sur lies, laid the foundations for this remarkable creation. Thus, a sparkling wine of the first magnitude was born, endowed with a prodigious harmony of aromas and flavors and which stands out not only within the DOC Bairrada sparkling wines, but throughout the country.
It shows very faint amber reflections, fruity aromatic notes combined with soft buttery nuances, also toast and biscuit. With each sip, the palate is presented with flavors harmoniously balanced by a refreshing acidity. In the mouth it is voluminous, with a creamy mousse and a tense and precise finish that gives it great persistence.

On the 22nd of May, the long-awaited launch of this top sparkling wine took place, accompanied by the presentation of the new vintage of the already classic sparkling wine Aliança Grande Reserva Brut Nature 2018, made from Chardonnay and Baga grapes.
Lastly, it should be noted that on this day the new Aliança vineyard in Bairrada was presented, with 26 hectares planted, conceived from the outset to produce base wines for the house's top sparkling wines. Named Quinta da Rigodeira II, in this vineyard everything was studied in detail, from the type of soil, sun exposure, the management of the vines and the clonal selection of the Baga, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties, in order to guarantee that the Aliança sparkling wines will continue , now and in the future, to be an unavoidable reference for connoisseurs.
