We present you the Monte das Ânforas brand. This wine owes its name to the Herdade das Ânforas, in Arraiolos, which has as a decorative element a collection of ampovens or remarkable "talhas". Traditionally in the Alentejo region, ceramic amphora were used for the wine making. It was the solution found to allevial the difficulty of using good woods for the construction of barrels, an occurrence that was felt throughout the Mediterranean basin.
