Bacalhôa renew the image of fortified wines and launches a new

Already known and awarded for its muscat wines, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal launches a new product to add to their prestigious range of fortified wines. And it didn't stop there, this new muscatel brings with it a new image, which has been extended to the rest of the fortified wines, namely the Moscatel de Setúbal D.O, current harvest of 2019, and the Moscatel Roxo de Setúbal 5 Years.

Designated Moscatel de Setúbal D.O. 5 Years, is a fortified wine born from selected grapes of the Moscatel de Setúbal variety planted in very old vines belonging to the demarcated region of the D.O. Setubal.

This lot contains wines aged in French oak barrels, for a minimum period of 5 years, in a greenhouse with wide temperature ranges throughout the year, thus having very special aging conditions. These aging conditions lead to a concentration and intensity of aromas and flavors, which further accentuate the unique personality of these fortified wines.

With a very complex aroma and flavors, this Moscatel is rich in endless notes, with the main highlight being bitter orange jam, tangerine, tea and apricot. Surrounding these aromas and flavors you will find a smooth texture where the balance between sweet, acid and bitter is perfect. After drinking, these sensations last pleasantly for many seconds.

Taste this admirable “nectar” full of harmonious sweetness and acidity, combining it well with desserts made with chocolate or even as a digestif and coffee.
